Currenlty 25% of the people of Goa are “meal insecure”, but government servants seem to thrive and prosper, surprisingly enough, with or without education, which brings to mind the phrase “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche” and the inevitable aftermath which always follows. Could this be the singular most valid reason for destruction of forests, hills, Garbage pile ups causing health hazards water table contamination, and since the passing of the land to the tiller act one sees more and more fields growing bumper crops of Hotels, restaurants and luxurious apartments, which will undoubtedly resulting in famine. One cannot to forget terrorist and criminals crossing state and international lines to enter Goa and find safe and scenic refuge here in beautiful Goa, with scores of Foriegners in clusters. Since 1985 Goa has been witnessing wide spread crime, which until then was unheard of. Walking or driving in the streets of this once peaceful and beautiful state of Goa, one will witness widespread signs of unprovoked aggression, desecration og religious artifacts, road rage, brought on by invasion of personal space, frustration with the way Goa is being governed in the interest of India being the goal leaving the people of Goa to fend of what they can or starve. The latest events show incidents of the unification of people of Goa rising up against the Government on various fronts, and for various valid reasons, with a goal to save beloved Goa, and their lawful property in Goa, from irreversible natural and greed based disaster.
